Pakistan- Mohammad Amir
Mohammad Amir picked 17 wickets in the whole tournament in what was a poor performance by the Pakistani team. Had he gotten the kind of support from Shaheen Afridi at the start of the tournament, instead of partnering up with Hasan Ali, Amir would have done more for his team. His best bowling was against Australia, where he picked 5/30 and also picked three wickets against India.
South Africa- Faf du Plessis
South Africa had a terrible World Cup campaign as they started by losing their first three matches, including one to Bangladesh. They never managed to recover from those losses, but managed to finish on a high by beating Australia. Faf du Plessis made 387 runs with one century and three fifties in the tournament and saved some face to show back at home.
