England - Jofra Archer
20 wickets in the World Cup and a stunning Super Over in the finals, Jofra Archer justified him being fast-tracked into playing for England and then his selection in the World Cup squad, possibly at the cost of David Willey. He showed his caliber early in the tournament and even scared a few batsmen with his lethal bouncers harming them. His ability to generate pace from that smooth runup and getting bounce form that awkward length made him a difficult bowler to get away.
New Zealand- Kane Williamson
Kane Williamson was a one-man army in the batting unit of the runners up. He rarely got support from Ross Taylor or Jimmy Neesham and with the openers failing to give a good start, often found himself batting inside the first 10 overs. His strike rate of around 75 might make some fans raise some fingers at him, but he single-handedly won the team many encounters including his two brilliant centuries against West Indies and South Africa. His Player of the Tournament award was well justified with over 570 runs.
