Avesh Khan has impressed the Indian selectors a lot and was on a tour of England as a net bowler in the India squad. However, he broke his thumb of left-hand in a practice match and returned back home. Before that, he had impressed in the first half of IPL 2021 for Delhi Capitals to earn the India call-up in the first place.

Avesh not only bowled with the new ball but rose to the occasion in death overs as well, as Kagiso Rabada had an off-season of sorts in IPL 2021. Avesh bowled at an express pace on occasions in IPL 2021. He ended up with 24 wickets in 16 IPL matches for DC and has been chosen as a practice bowler for the Indian team in T20 World Cup 2021.

He is already on the radar for Indian team selection and may get a chance to don the Indian jersey in as near future during the upcoming home season.
