HARSHAL PATEL
Harshal Patel has been part of the Indian Premier League since 2012. He has played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. He is captain of the Haryana team and despite being a skillful bowler, has good batting attributes as well.
Harshal Patel was a useful bowler in the IPL for eons but came into his own as RCB used him in a specific role as a death-over specialist and he excelled in the role in IPL 2021. Harshal ended up as the Purple Cap winner with a record-equaling 32 scalps to his name.

This was the highest haul of wickets in one IPL season by an uncapped Indian bowler and joint-most by any bowler as well, equaling the record by Dwayne Bravo. Harshal’s economy was 8.14 and he picked up a fifer and a hat-trick in the tournament both coming incidentally against Mumbai Indians in separate matches.
Harshal being only 30-years-old will have an excellent opportunity to represent the Indian team in near future with India looking for utility players and specialist bowlers.
