IND v WI 2018: COC presents Team India players’ ratings for West Indies series

India defeated West Indies 2-0 in the two-Test series.

R ASHWIN- 7/10
R Ashwin was in good form | HT photoR Ashwin picked 9 wickets in two Tests with a best for 4/37 and was at his probing and prodding best in his favorite home conditions. He also made 42 runs in the two Tests with a best of 35.

KL RAHUL- 1/10
Kl Rahul continued his bad form with the bat from England | AFPKL Rahul is seemed to be in the reverse purple patch of his career here. He scored a century in the fifth and final dead rubber Test in England. It should have done him a lot of good, but instead, he scored a duck and four runs in the first two innings he played against WI and then a dodgy 33* in chase of 72 runs.

UMESH YADAV-9/10
Umesh Yadav picked a career best 10-wicket haul in Hyderabad | HT Photo
Umesh Yadav became the strike bowler for India with 11 wickets in two Tests, including a 10-wicket haul in the Hyderabad Test with career-best figures of 6/88 and 10/133. This all came when he was left to shoulder the quick bowling duties in the Hyderabad Test, as the debutant and fellow fast bowler Shardul Thakur limped out of the Test injured after bowling 10 balls. Yadav continued the barrage with consistently high pace whenever he came on to bowl and impressed one and all in absence of Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar.
