This was the 25th match of the ICC World T20 in 2016, played between India and Bangladesh in Bengaluru. It was a must-win for the India team where they had to up their net run rate as well.
On a difficult pitch, Bangladesh put India into bat first and the team struggled to 146/7. Suresh Raina made 30, Kohli and Dhawan made 20 odd each, as the Bangla bowlers bowled tight lines and Al-Amin (2/37) and Mustafizur (2/34) were the best bowlers.

In reply, the Bangladesh team had the game under their control for 99% of the duration. Tamim (35), Sabbir and Shakib with 20-odd each took them to the cusp of victory. Jasprit Bumrah brought the game into India’s favor by bowling a tight 19th over giving away just 6 runs, leaving the Tigers to get 11 runs off the last over.
Hardik Pandya took the ball, but Mushfiqur Rahim hit two fours on the first two balls to bring down the run needed to 3. But then Pandya hit back with wickets of Rahim and Mahmudullah in two straight balls. With 2 runs needed off the last ball, Pandya bowled it wide and Dhoni collected the ball, sprinting towards the stumps to beat Mustafizur Rahman to the crease and India won the match by 1 run in a nail biter.
