For South Africa, Chris Morris and Reeza Hendricks missed out to go to England, as the selectors batted for some youth in Swaine Pretorius, and Anrich Nortje, along with proven cases like Aiden Markram and Rassie van der Dussen. Tabraiz Shamsi will partner JP Duminy and Imran Tahir as spin options, with Dale Steyn leading the pace bowlers.

Pakistani squad saw the shock omission of Mohammad Amir, while young Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain got the nod to go to England. Abid Ali too got a ticket to England based on his debut century against Australia recently, while Pakistan squad sees experience in form of Malik, Hafeez, Babar, Junaid, and Fakhar Zaman.

Their squad may also see changes after the conclusion of their 5-match ODI series against England by 19th May.
