The sorry state of the Pakistan cricketing infrastructure was exposed one again after ace Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan was carried off the field after an injury on the back by a teammate. This showed the lack of facilities at the venues where Pakistan Cricket Board hosts domestic matches.
The incident happened during a National T20 Cup match between Rawalpindi and Sialkot on Sunday. This match was being played at the UBL ground, in Rawalpindi.
Shadab Khan tried to stop the ball using his left foot, but instead stepped on the ball and twisted his ankle. This led to the 12th man coming on the field and then Shadab Khan piggybacked on his shoulder as he was carried out of the ground.
Samaa TV confirmed that there were no stretchers available at the ground which led to this bizarre incident.
Reacting to the video, several fans slammed the PCB for lack of facilities in the stadium.
