Pakistan team has landed in Australia for the three-Test series down under. Under new captain Shan Masood and new support staff including head coach Mohammad Hafeez, the Men in Green will look to perform well against the current ICC World Test champions.
The three Tests will be played in Perth from December 14-18, in Melbourne from December 26-30, and in Sydney from January 3-7.
Notably, Pakistan has not won a single Test in Australia and has been white-washed on their previous five visits. This time, they will hope things are different with a new look team, selected by new chief selector Wahab Riaz.
The Pakistan squad has three uncapped players batter Saim Ayub, all-rounder Aamer Jamal, and pacer Khurram Shehzad. Also recalled to the squad was pacer Mir Hamza. Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel, Agha Salman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, Imam ul Haq, Abdullah Shafique, and Mohammad Wasim Junior have been retained from the WC squad.
Meanwhile, it was an embarrassing moment for the Pakistan team, who landed in Australia and no one was there to welcome them. No official from the Pakistan embassy or Cricket Australia was present to receive them.
In a viral video, Pakistan players including Mohammad Rizwan and others can be seen loading their luggage including kit bags in the back of a truck before moving to the hotel where they will stay.
