The third and final ODI between Australia and England was played at the MCG on November 22, 2022, and saw openers Travis Head and David Warner pummel the opposition bowlers.

After being asked to bat first by England’s Jos Buttler, Australia’s Travis Head and David Warner added 269 runs for the first wicket in 38.1 overs. Head made 152 in 130 balls with 16 fours and 4 sixes.

Warner, on the other hand, made 106 with 8 fours and 2 sixes as the opening pair added 269 runs in 38.1 overs. After their wickets, Mitchell Marsh made 30 in 16 balls and Steve Smith made 21 runs as Australia finished on 355/5 in 48 overs, as the match was shortened due to a rain interruption. Olly Stone was the pick of England bowlers with 4/85.

Meanwhile, a brilliant gesture was seen by David Warner, who while returning back to the pavilion after being dismissed, tossed his gloves to a young fan, making his day.

Actually, the young boy then ran up to his mother and brother and showed them the gloves and the two boys were over the moon with the gift they had gotten.
