The Asia Cup 2022 will get underway on Saturday (August 27) with Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in Dubai, UAE. It will no doubt be an exciting clash but will only serve as an appetizer for the fans from India and Pakistan as they await Sunday's clash between the arch-rivals.

The two teams have been practicing hard at the ICC Academy ground and are leaving no stone unturned to ensure they are best prepared for their opening game. If things go as expected, the Asian giants could clash again in the Super 4 round next Sunday and possibly the final on the Sunday that follows.

The players from both teams have been very cordial with each other during the practice sessions, and most recently a video clip of Indian players enquiring Shaheen Afridi about his knee injury went viral on the internet on Thursday. Shaheen also extended his best wishes to Kohli to regain his form with the bat soon.

Virat Kohli had also made a Pakistani fan's day who traveled all the way from his country to meet him, as the former Indian captain posed for pictures with him and chatted briefly as well.

Now on Friday, it was the turn of current Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, to do something similar as he was requested by the Pakistani fans for selfies during India's practice session. He walked all the way towards them, posed for pictures and greeted the fans warmly.

One of the fans also asked him for a hug, but due to the security barrier, that was not possible so Rohit gestured for a hug to ensure the fan goes back home safely.

Senior journalist Vikrant Gupta shared the clip on his Twitter account as fans lauded Rohit for his gesture. Watch here:
