We have seen some outstanding relay catches in cricket lately, but the one during Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) is among the funniest. It came during the match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat on Saturday (November 7).
Strikers' spinner Amanda Wellington bowled a loopy full toss to Amelia Kerr who tried to go for a big hit, but couldn't connect well. She found the fielder at mid-wicket, Maddy Penna who jumped in the air but could only manage her hand on it.
Fortunately, the ball was still in the air and it gave Tahlia McGrath some time to take a dive and complete the catch.

Tahlia was running from mid-on to cover up Penna and she put on an excellent effort to successfully dismiss Kerr in a surprising and funny way.
The Twitter handle of the Women's Big Bash League posted the video and wrote, "You've gotta be kidding! Tahlia McGrath (with a bit of help from Maddy Penna) pulls off one of the great catches we've seen in the WBBL."
Eventually, Strikers beat Brisbane by 18 runs and the catch was an important one as the equation at that stage was 35 runs needed off 18 balls.
