Pakistan's left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir had made a sudden announcement of retiring from international cricket in December 2020. He blamed the unhealthy Pakistan dressing room environment for his decision.

Amir made claims of his 'mental torture' from the team management and the non-clarity of coaches about what is expected out of the 28-year-old pacer. Pakistan head coach Misbah ul Haq and bowling coach Waqar Younis were the main targets of Amir while talking about harassment from the team management.

While a few players came out in support of the pacer from Punjab, the dislike towards Misbah and Waqar has grown back in their home country.

A month after announcing his retirement, Amir has now stated that he is ready to come back in Pakistan side if the team management is changed. He has decided to talk to the Pakistan Cricket Board about a replacement in the management if he wants to be made available for international cricket again.

Mohammad Amir told Samaa TV, "I will approach the board myself and tell them that I am available if there is new management in place. I don’t think that the issues with current management will be resolved now because mindset doesn’t change in a day."

Amir later took to Twitter to clarify his stance.

The southpaw is sure that there is no chance of his issues with the current team management resolved as 'mindset doesn't change in a day'.
