The Coronavirus pandemic has made the sporting world move ahead without their fans. They aren't parting ways, but the crowd won't be allowed to watch the action live from the venue.

It not only takes away the fun for the fans, but even the players would also miss the vibrant atmosphere spectators brought with them.

India cricketer Rohit Sharma knows how much fans make a difference. He called fans an important part of sports in his recent chat with presenter Joe Morrison on the official Facebook page of La Liga.

"They (fans) are so important for any sporting event across the world. They are the ones who make every sport look so glamorous around the world. At least the first measure has to be everyone's safety," he said.

"Once these measures are taken care of, slowly and smoothly fans can be allowed inside the stadium. The safety of everyone is of utmost importance. It needs to be taken into consideration before taking any measures," Rohit continued.

Indian Premier League (IPL) is among the major sporting events to get affected because of the COVID-19 threat. ICC has decided to continue cricket with government approval but with some strict guidelines. They have banned the use of saliva on the cricket ball, and no physical contact  shall be made while celebrating on the field.
