LSG has 6 wins from 9 matches, while DC has 4 wins from 8 matches in IPL 2022 | BCCI-IPLThe 45th match of the IPL 2022 will see Delhi Capitals (DC) taking on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a return match, which will be played on May 1 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. LSG had beaten DC by 6 wickets in their previous meeting and DC will be eager to repay soon.

Delhi Capitals are coming into this match after beating Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous encounter, while Lucknow defeated the PBKS in their previous match. DC has 4 wins from 8 matches and 8 points to their name, while LSG has 6 wins from 9 matches and 12 points to their name.

Neither team can afford a loss here as DC will find it very hard to win a majority of matches at fag end of the tournament, while LSG wouldn’t like to lose momentum.

Keeping this in mind, here is the COC Predicted playing XIs for the DC v LSG match.

DELHI CAPITALS

Delhi Capitals had a good outing against KKR in their last match and would like to continue the same way. Though Prithvi Shaw got out for a first-ball duck, he and David Warner have given fiery starts to DC in the previous matches.

Mitchell Marsh at no.3 is a bit of a gamble, but DC is dedicated to using him at that place with Rishabh Pant following him. Pant is in need of a substantial inning under his belt as he hasn’t clicked as a batter in the tournament.

DC | BCCI-IPLThe same can be said about Lalit Yadav and Rovman Powell, who only got respectable scores in only the last two matches. Akshar Patel has been miserly with his bowling but needs to make inroads with wickets as well, while Lalit Yadav is used more to fill up overs.

Kuldeep Yadav and Mustafizur Rahman are DC’s trump cards when it comes to bowling and Kuldeep has stood out from the rest. Shardul Thakur hasn’t done anything significant yet, but his skills are second to none.

LUCKNOW SUPER GIANTS

Lucknow Super Giants have a good thing going and KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock have given them amazing starts. Though the plethora of all-rounders has given the LSG batting much-needed depth, the form of their batters in middle overs hasn’t been that great.

In their last five matches, their bowlers have successfully defended totals three times - two of which were only 153 and 169 - while they have lost batting second twice in a row. They strengthened their bowling by bringing in Avesh Khan for Manish Pandey and Mohsin Khan clicked with the ball as well.

LSG | BCCI-IPLHowever, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, and Ayush Badoni have cooled down a bit after the initial heroics, while Marcus Stoinis needs to be batting up the order, given that they have Jason Holder down as a finisher. There is a chance, that Evin Lewis might get a look in as Stoinis had suffered an injury against Punjab.

Ravi Bishnoi is the leading spinner of the team but has struggled with consistency a bit, as he averages 41 with an economy rate of 8.22. Much more will be needed from him.

DC COC Predicted Playing XI:

David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (C-WK), Lalit Yadav, Rovman Powell, Akshar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya

LSG COC Predicted Playing XI:
