Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Krunal Pandya opened up about the hard work he has put into improving his spin bowling after his stupendous bowling helped LSG beat Punjab Kings (PBSK) by 20 runs in the 42nd match of the ongoing IPL 2022 on April 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.
At the MCA Stadium in Pune, Krunal Pandya was brilliant with the ball in the middle overs as he returned with the brilliant figures of 2/11 in his 4 overs to help Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) successfully defend 153 runs against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday.
With this win, LSG jumped to third place in the points table with 12 points, while Krunal has so far taken 9 wickets in the 9 matches as well as scored 119 runs for the side.
Krunal Pandya said in a post-match presentation: “I have been bowling well. For the last 7-8 months, I have been working hard. Special mention to Rahul Sanghvi. The results everyone can see as I have tried to improve skill-wise.”
He continued, “A lot of times when you are playing shorter formats you don't realize a lot of things. I have been trying to increase my height with my release and some things on my grip. I took Rahul Sanghvi's help and it has worked.”
The all-rounder is also hoping to contribute with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2022. Pandya signed off by saying, “Batting is slightly close to my heart. I haven't been contributing much with the bat but it is a long tournament and going forward I will look to contribute with the bat.”
