Delhi Capitals (DC) Prithvi Shaw said he knew that senior batsman Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Rishabh Pant would bat in the super over against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) as Rashid Khan was bowling on Sunday (April 25) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Kane Williamson played a brilliant knock of 66* to take the match into a Super Over on Sunday, but eventually, Delhi managed to chase eight runs in the super over to win the match against Hyderabad in Chennai.

The young opener also lauded Akshar Patel who conceded just 7 runs in 6 balls in the super over as well as Williamson for his superb innings as it helped SRH equal the score of Delhi on Sunday.
Shaw told host broadcaster Star Sports: “I didn't think about it (Super Over) but Williamson played fantastically. He played a really good knock. Akshar bowled really well in the Super Over. I wasn't there; I knew Shikhar Bhai and Pant would go for sure because Rashid was going to bowl for sure. So, they wanted Pant and Shikhi to go and hit.”
In the IPL 14 game against SRH, Shaw and Pant played knocks of 53 and 37 respectively to help DC Delhi posted a score of 159/4 in the allotted 20 overs on the board in Chennai and the opener said the total was enough to defend while saying he is doing on a lot of things that are helping him in the IPL 2021.
He signed off by saying, “It was a good wicket in the first six overs and then it slowed down, but it was fine. I felt the wicket was behaving a bit slower, the spinners were bowling well. 160 was good enough to defend, but a close game. I am just doing all those stuff I have worked with. It's helping me right now, so I think I should continue that.”
Noteworthy, DC is now placed at second place in the IPL 2021 points table with 8 points from 5 matches and will next take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 27 in Ahmedabad.
