IPL 2021: RCB’s Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson pull out of IPL due to personal reasons

RCB confirmed the news on their official Twitter handle.

Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson | BCCI/IPLRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday (April 26) suffered a setback as Australian bowlers Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson decided to pull out of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to personal reasons.

This news comes in the wake of another Australian cricketer Andrew Tye, who was part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) franchise, leaving the tournament midway in fear of getting "locked out" of his own country amid the COVID-19 surge in India.

"Adam Zampa & Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore offers complete support to them in all the possible way we can," RCB said in a statement.

While leg-spinner Zampa was roped in by RCB for INR 1.5 crore, pacer Richardson fetched INR 4 crore at the players' auction.

RCB are having a great time in the 14th edition of IPL. They are occupying the third spot on the points table with 4 wins from 5 games.
