IPL 2019: 3 uncapped IPL players who could debut for India in 2019

The IPL has been a platform for players to make it to the Indian team with impressive performances.

Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna | IANSKarnataka’s Prasidh Murali Krishna, better known as Prasidh Krishna was drafted by Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018 as a replacement for injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti. Prasidh Krishna had come into focus on his FC debut for Karnataka in 2015, against Bangladesh A, picking 5/49 with a wicket on his first ball, that of Rony Talukdar.

The 6ft2in 23-year old fast bowler has shown the ability to clock over 140kmph easily and had picked 10 wickets in 7 matches in his first IPL stint in 2018. He helped his team make it to the playoffs and has been picked in the majority of the matches so far. Given that the Indian fast bowling attack at the moment is already wonderful, the addition of Prasidh Krishna might further bolster it with his height helping him get a bounce from any surface.

This might help him make his India team debut shortly as the team plays lots of matches post the ICC World Cup 2019.
