The second edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL 2024) kickstarted on a rollicking note as Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, led the proceedings of the opening ceremony on a blockbuster note at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on February 23, Friday.
India's cricket carnival began on an exhilarating note, with Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra adding a luxurious taste to their spectacular performances.
Karthik Aryan represented Gujarat Giants, Siddharth Malhotra showed his support for Delhi Capitals, Tiger Shroff supported Royal Challengers Bangalore, Varun Dhawan picked UP Warriorz and Shahid Kapoor was the final one who was the representative for Mumbai Indians.
The highlight and the final act of the show was Shah Rukh Khan, who had the crowd at their feet with his dialogues and performed on his Pathan movie song, Jhoome Jo Pathaan and Jawan’s Not Ramaiya Vastavaiya.
He also introduced all the captains of the franchises and posed with them on the stage.
