England beat Australia by 6 wickets in the second T20I match at The Rose Bowl in Southampton yesterday night and also sealed the series with one match to go.

Earlier Australia won the toss and opted to bat first but inform David Warner got out for a three-ball duck off Jofra Archer bowling and in the next over Mark Wood sent Carey back to the dressing room and at 3/2 Australia were in trouble and later Steve Smith ran himself out for 10 runs and at 30/3 Australia were in big trouble. Captain Aaron Finch's 40, Marcus Stoinis' 35, Glenn Maxwell's 26, and useful knocks from Ashton Agar and Pat Cummins took Australia to a fighting total of 157/7 in 20 overs.

In reply England also lost Jonny Bairstow cheaply but Jos Buttler and Dawid Malan's 87 runs partnership for the second wicket kept Australia on the back foot. When the chase was looking very easy then England lost three wickets in a short span and gave a chance of come back to Australia but Jos Buttler was rock solid at his end and his 77* runs knock took England home.
