India captain Rohit Sharma has been praised a lot for the way he led the team in the ongoing five-Test series against England. The team has been missing some key players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer.

Even Ravindra Jadeja missed one match due to injury and Mohammed Siraj was rested for one match. This has led to India giving debuts to three players in Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, and Dhruv Jurel, and despite this, India leads the series 2-1 with the fourth Test to be played in Ranchi from Friday.

Under his captaincy, the Indian cricket team entered the final of the World Test Championship and also the ODI Cricket World Cup. However, in recent times, Rohit Sharma lost his IPL captaincy as Mumbai Indians opted for Hardik Pandya.
