India and Afghanistan clashed in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Holkar Stadium in Indore on January 14, 2024. India leads the series 1-0 after winning the first match in Mohali.
Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to field first. India made two changes as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli came into the XI for Shubman Gill and Tilak Varma.
Afghanistan lost the openers early, but Gulbadin Naib laid a good foundation with 57 off 35 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Then a few cameos by Najibullah Zadran (23), Karim Janat (20), and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (21) pushed Afghanistan's total to 172 in 20 overs.
For India, Akshar Patel was the standout bowler with 2/17 in his 4 overs, while Arshdeep Singh took 3/32.
During a break in the Afghanistan innings, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shivam Dube were seen joking about something with the two senior cricketers laughing whole-heartedly.
This led to the fans on social media speculating what the joke was about as Kohli and Rohit along with Dube seemed to enjoy it very much given how much laughter there was by the three players.
