Former Indian all-rounder, Yusuf Pathan became the second India Legends team member after captain Sachin Tendulkar to test positive for COVID-19 on March 27. Tendulkar had confirmed his positive test on Saturday morning, while Yusuf confirmed his result in the evening.

The India Legends recently won the Road Safety World Series tournament by defeating Sri Lanka Legends in the final on March 21. With the symptoms for the virus taking few days to develop, there is a strong possibility that the two Indian cricketers were infected with the virus during their stay in Raipur despite a bubble being in place for the six participating teams.

Yusuf Pathan wrote in his tweet, "I've tested positive for COVID-19 today with mild symptoms. Post the confirmation, I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions and medication required. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest."

Yusuf had scored 139 runs at a strike-rate of 171.60 and took 9 wickets at an average of 12.33 to play a key role for the champion India Legends team. He had announced his retirement from professional cricket last month just before the tournament.
