Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed reacted to Mohammad Hafeez's tweet for Mohammad Rizwan on his terrific performance in the first T20I against South Africa.

Rizwan scored an unbeaten 104* and got Man of the Match after Pakistan won the game by 3 runs. Hafeez took to Twitter and praised the wicket-keeper batsman while Sarfaraz felt it's a dig at him.

“Congratulations Rizwan on scoring T20 hundred. You are a shining star. Wonder how long you need to prove that you are number one wicket-keeper batsman in all formats of the game," the tweet read.

Sarfaraz quoted the tweet from Hafeez and replied, “Hafeez bhai Sb, whoever has played for Pakistan from Imtiaz Ahmed, Wasim Bari, Tasleem Arif to Saleem Yousuf and from Moin Khan, Rashid Latif to Kamran Akmal and even Rizwan right now has always been number ONE for the country and have been respected accordingly."

The 33-year-old is not part of the side currently and he has played his last T20I for Pakistan in 2020 against England.

Mohammad Amir replied to Sarfaraz's tweet and reminded him of his achievements. Pakistan has won ICC Champions Trophy 2017 under his captaincy and they were also number one in T20I for two years.

"babu u also a number 1 wicket-keeper batsman in Pakistan or ap ki hi captain the jab team 2 saal team no 1 rhi in t20 or sab se bar kar champions trophy so u are pride of Pakistan big respect or maze ki bat logon kam hai awein ka bolna so enjoy bro", he tweeted.

Hafeez later posted a tweet without mentioning anyone, but it looked like directed towards Sarfaraz again. "Shallow minded approach EXPOSED!", he tweeted.
