India's all-rounder Washington Sundar got a warm welcome on return from a successful Australia tour. Washington, who played the last Test match at the Gabba, scored 62 in the first innings and an important cameo of 29-ball 22 to win the match.
Washington had put up a partnership of 123-run with Shardul Thakur in the first innings which kept India alive in the contest after a middle-order failure. He also picked four wickets in the match which includes Steve Smith's priceless scalp and later David Warner's wicket in the second innings.
