India white-ball and current Test vice-captain Rohit Sharma wished the new parents Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, as they welcomed a baby girl today afternoon on January 11.

Virat Kohli shared the good news with his fans on his social media handles and requested privacy for the family as well. They got engaged on December 11, 2017 and got married the same day in traditional style in secret in Tuscany, Italy with family and close families in attendance.

On August 27, 2020, both Kohli and Anushka announced the pregnancy, sending their collective fanbase into a tizzy. Anushka traveled to the UAE for the IPL 2020, where Kohli’s teammates in Royal Challenger Bangalore celebrated the news.

Kohli had returned from Australia after playing the white-ball series and the first Test in Adelaide to be with Anushka for the birth of the child and received wishes from everywhere.

One of the people who wished him was Rohit Sharma, who tweeted, “Incredible feeling this. Congratulations to both of you. God bless.”
