Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar who turned 47 today (24 April) had decided that he will not be celebrating his birthday this year as the country is still under lockdown and is fighting against the Coronavirus pandemic.
But this did not stop the cricket fraternity as wishes poured in for the master blaster across social media platforms. Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar and former Australia cricketer Brett Lee were the recent additions in this.
As both of them are pacers, there have been many instances of banter with the Mumbai based batsman but as they have retired from the game now, there’s only friendship remaining feels the Aussie pacer.
Sachin Tendulkar shares a special birthday post with his mother
“Happy birthday legend @sachin_rt Even though that the battles on the cricket field have now ceased, the friendships will last forever! Stay safe mate and have a wonderful celebration Party popper,” wrote Brett Lee on Twitter.

The “Rawalpindi Express” Shoaib Akhtar, on the other hand, called Tendulkar as “the best batsman in the history of the game” and also said that he cherishes the on-field battles as a treasure.
“A very happy birthday to @sachin_rt. Arguably the best batsman in the history of the game. It's a pleasure to have known you, playing with you & against you. The battles against you on the ground are a treasure of my playing days,” the right-arm pacer wrote on Twitter.
