Rohit Sharma recalled his most favourite moments involving the Master Blaster.

Rohit wished Tendulkar on his birthday | GettyIndia opener Rohit Sharma wished legendary Sachin Tendulkar on his 47th birthday this Friday (April 24) and revealed his best moments spent with the Master Blaster.

Tendulkar, who retired from cricket in 2013 after an illustrious career playing at the highest level for 24 years, remains the game's highest Test and ODI run-scorer.

"Many happy returns of the day to the great man. Hope you have a great day paaji," wrote Rohit on Twitter, before revealing "my two best moments with him"

First of those, recalled Rohit, was "sharing the match-winning partnership at Sydney against Australia in the first final" of the 2008 CB series.

Chasing 240 on a surface where hardly anyone found timing the ball easy, Tendulkar looked in majestic touch and scored one of his best hundreds (117) to take India through. But that wouldn't have been possible without Rohit's contribution in the middle-order, scoring a brilliant 87-ball 66 from No.5.

Rohit's second-best moment with Tendulkar saw him "receiving my (first) Test cap at Eden gardens" in Kolkata against West Indies in November 2013.

That was also Tendulkar's 199th Test, which Rohit made memorable by scoring an outstanding ton that helped India recover from a precarious situation and led to an innings victory.

Tendulkar bid adieu to the game in an emotional farewell after the next Test at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rohit also mentioned three other special moments with Tendulkar on an Instagram post.
