Rohit Sharma is on a break from cricket after his Player of the Series performance in the recent ODI series between Australia and India. He will next be seen in the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa at home starting late this month.
Last week at BKC in Mumbai, the 38-year-old right-handed batter from Mumbai was seen working out with Mumbai Ranji players.
Rohit Sharma, known for his jovial and funny nature, showed the same as he gate-crashed a wedding couple’s photo shoot in the most Rohit Sharma manner ever.
Rohit was seen interfering with a couple's pre-wedding photo shoot by playing the song "Aaj mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai" on his speaker and demonstrating his dancing skills in a recent video that went viral online.
The couple got surprised by Rohit’s act, and the bride can even be heard saying, “Yeh to moment ho gaya" in Marathi.
Here is the video:
Rohit Sharma, along with Virat Kohli, made his India return in the Australia ODIs for the first time since India’s Champions Trophy 2025 win in March earlier this year. Rohit had a poor start, scoring 8 runs in the first ODI in Perth, but bounced back nicely with 73 in the second ODI at Adelaide.
His best knock came in India’s only win in the series, as he slammed 121* in the third ODI in Sydney. He was given the Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his performance. This performance helped Rohit Sharma attain the no. 1 position in ICC ODI rankings for the first time.
He became the fifth Indian after Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill to take the No. 1 position in the ICC ODI batter’s rankings.
