Team India’s preparation for the pink-ball Test against Sri Lanka is going in full flow. The match is slated to be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from March 12.
On the eve of the second Test, BCCI took to Instagram and shared some pictures, in which Indian players can be seen fine-tuning their skills in the nets.
Skipper Rohit Sharma, senior batter Virat Kohli, opener Mayank Agarwal, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja featured in the post having a hit in the nets with the bat.
On the other hand, spinners R Ashwin and Akshar Patel and the pace troika of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, and Umesh Yadav were seen practicing bowling during the net session.
“Preps #TeamIndia gear up for the pink-ball Test in Bengaluru,” the caption of the post reads.
India outplayed Sri Lanka in the opening Test in Mohali to take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
The hosts piled up 574/8 (declared) on the board and then bowled out Sri Lanka for 174 and 178 to win the match by an innings and 222 runs.
The Bengaluru Test will be India’s fourth day-night match in the longest format, having played against Bangladesh (Kolkata), Australia (Adelaide) and England (Ahmedabad) in the past.
