India skipper Rohit Sharma, on Sunday, added another cap in his feather as he became the most capped T20I player. In the first T20I match of this series against Sri Lanka, Rohit had become the highest overall run-getter in the format as well, going past New Zealand’s Martin Guptill.
Meanwhile, when Rohit stepped onto the HPCA field in Dharamsala for the toss in the ongoing third and final T20I against Sri Lanka, he was appearing in his 125th T20I match, going past Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik’s tally of 124 matches. Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is third on the list with 119 T20Is under his belt.
Speaking about his record feat, Rohit during the toss said, "It's a great feeling representing your country in 125 T20Is, feels good, look to continue playing for many more years."

In 124 T20Is, Rohit has scored 3308 runs with 4 centuries and 26 half-centuries at an average of 32.75 and strike rate of 139.27. He has hit 292 fours and 155 sixes in the format.
Coming to the third and final T20I, Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat first against India on Sunday. India already leads the series 2-0 as they defeated Sri Lanka by 62 runs in the first T20I and by 7 wickets in the second T20I.
Rohit Sharma led India have fielded an XI with four changes for the third T20I while Sri Lanka have made two changes in the set-up. India brought in Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan and Mohammed Siraj.
