After collecting the trophy in the presentation ceremony, Dhawan couldn’t resist and pulled off his famous thigh-five celebration. The southpaw then joined his teammates to pose for the pictures with the trophy.

Here’s the video:

Coming to the match, the hosts bundled out the Proteas for a paltry 99 in 27.1 overs after opting to bowl first. Mohammed Siraj (2-17), Washington Sundar (2-15) and Shahbaz Ahmed (2-32) wreaked havoc on South Africa’s top and middle order by taking two wickets each while Kuldeep Yadav (4-18) ran through the lower order.

In reply, India rode on Shubman Gill’s 57-ball 49 and Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 28 off 23 balls to overhaul the target with 30.5 overs to spare.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Dhawan said: "The boys showed great character on such tough batting pitches. The bowlers were clinical today."

"I am proud of the boys, the way they played in the series. The way they carried the responsibility and showed maturity. Would like to thank the support staff."

Team India won the series despite losing the first ODI in Lucknow by 9 runs. They were sloppy on the field in the series opener.

"We showed a lot of character in the first game, we dropped a few catches, but we never really put pressure on ourselves. We tried to stick to the process. I am enjoying the journey, I'll try to keep performing well for my team," the stand-in captain added.
