Team India pulled off a series-clinching six-wicket victory over Australia in the third T20I at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday (September 25).
The match went down to the wire as the hosts needed 11 from the last over. In the pressure situation, Hardik Pandya held his nerves and slammed a boundary off Daniel Sams on the fifth delivery to seal the deal for India.
As soon as the winning shot was hit, there was a wave of joy in the Indian dressing room as players hugged each other to rejoice the victory. Cameras also captured a wholesome moment, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli hugging each other.
Rohit and Kohli were following the action while sitting on the stairs together. When the team got over the finishing line, they were seen celebrating like a child.
Kohli passionately patted on Rohit’s thighs and then on his back whereas the Indian captain hugged his predecessor.

Chasing 187 to win, the Men in Blue lost KL Rahul (1) and Rohit Sharma (17) early. However, the duo of Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav rose to the occasion, adding 104 runs for the third wicket to keep the hosts in the hunt.
In particular, Suryakumar was severe on the Australian bowlers as he slammed 69 off 36 balls (5 fours and 5 sixes) before getting out in the 14th over.
Kohli though held the one end firmly and anchored the chase brilliantly. The veteran batter forged a 48-run stand with Hardik Pandya to put India in the driver’s seat.
In the last over, Kohli hit Daniel Sams’ first ball for a six and then perished on the second delivery for 63 off 48 balls (3 fours and 4 sixes). Eventually, Pandya’s unbeaten cameo (25 off 16 balls) took India home.
