ENG v IND 2022: COC Predicted India Playing XI for the second T20I against England

India will be boosted by return of first-choice players for the next two T20Is.

Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will be available for selection | GettyAfter defeating England in the first match of the three-T20I series, the Indian team will be eager to continue their winning run as they prepare to face off in the second match which will be played in Edgbaston on July 9, 2022.

The Indian team management will have to make plenty of changes with the first-choice players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and Ravindra Jadeja becoming available for the remainder of the T20I series and some of the players from the squad for the first T20I will make way for them.

This means Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, and co will have a selection conundrum on their hands while choosing which performers from the first T20I should be made to sit out to make space for others.

Keeping this in mind, here is the COC Predicted Team India playing XI for the second T20I against England.

With the likes of Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant becoming available, India will need to fit them into the playing XI and the only spot in the batting lineup available is the opening spot. While Ishan Kishan did well against South Africa, he is the backup opener and Virat Kohli is too good to be left out of the playing XI.

ENG v IND 2022: No place for Kohli, Pant and Jadeja as Zaheer Khan names one change in India's XI for 2nd T20I

This is also due to the kind of batting form Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav have shown off late that makes it difficult for them to be dropped off, especially the way they batted in the first T20I, giving India momentum which protected them from the lean overs they had in the end.

Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik are expected to hold onto their places, which might mean Rishabh Pant may get some more rest after playing continuous cricket in the last year or so.

Ravindra Jadeja is a like-to-like replacement for Akshar Patel in the XI given that he is a more experienced campaigner. Harshal Patel and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are going to lead the Indian bowling attack as they did in the first T20I, while Arshdeep Singh will make way for Jasprit Bumrah.

This is due to Arshdeep not being part of the India squad for the remainder of the T20I series. Yuzvendra Chahal was good as ever in the first match, and expect him to trouble the England batters again.

COC Predicted India Playing XI for the second T20I:

Rohit Sharma (C), Virat Kohli, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Dinesh Karthik (WK), Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal
