Virat Kohli is someone who wears his heart on his sleeve whenever he steps foot onto the cricket field. Be it an international fixture or a domestic match, the former India skipper gives it his all for his team.

While he is highly competitive on the field, Kohli also shares a healthy camaraderie with the opposition players. He commands respect among the opposition cricketers and often interacts with them either on the field or outside of it.

During the second day’s play of the ongoing Edgbaston Test between India and England, Kohli was seen having a heartfelt conversation with Jonny Bairstow.

Rain hogged the headlines on Day 2 of the Test match and during the latest interruption, which forced the players to take a Tea break early, Kohli put his hands on Bairstow’s shoulders and had a brief chat with him as they walked off the field.

Coming to the match, Team India’s first innings eventually folded for 416 in 84.5 overs. Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja starred with the bat for the tourists, slamming 146 and 104 respectively.

In reply, the hosts were struggling on 60/3 at Tea break with Joe Root (19*) and Bairstow (6*) unbeaten in the middle. Stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah has claimed all three wickets so far.
