India pacer Mohammad Shami has taken a huge dig at former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza for his unnecessary allegations against the Indian team, the BCCI, and the ICC in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023.
India has been undefeated in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 tournament, winning all of their 8 games thus far, and have qualified for the semi-finals as well. They have only one other match left in the league stages, against the Netherlands which will be played on Sunday in Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, former Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza has been on a tirade on Pakistan TV show ABN Sports, leveling one allegation after another.
His first claim was that ICC and BCCI are rigging the matches in favor of the Indian team by providing them with different balls than other teams. This came after India routed Sri Lanka by 302 runs in Mumbai, bowling them out for 55 runs while defending 357 runs. Mohammed Shami took 5/18 in that match.
The second allegation came after India defeated South Africa by 243 runs in Kolkata and Hasan Raza claimed that BCCI is rigging the DRS in favor of India. This was after a contentious LBW decision of Heinrich Klaasen.
After Hasan Raza had shared his theory of the Indian team getting different balls than other teams, Pakistani legend Wasim Akram said that he wanted to have the same thing Raza was having and making such statements, as it seemed fun.
And now, Indian pacer Mohammad Shami jumped into the fray and chided Hasan Raza for his statements like this. He reminded Raza that this was an ICC event and not any local tournament and that he played international cricket once.
Mohammad Shami wrote on his Instagram story: “Sharm karo yaar game par focus karo na ki faltu bakwas par kabhi to dusre ki success ko enjoy kia karo, Chii yaar ICC World Cup hai apka local cricket tournament, nahi hai or aap player hi the naa.
Shami further asked Raza to atleast believe his own ex-Pakistani teammate in Wasim Akram, who is a legend of pace bowling. Shami even threw in the latest trending “just like a wow” as well.
“Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai explain kia tha phir bhi. Apne player, apne Wasim Akram par yakin nahi apko apna tarif karne main lage hai janab aap to just like a wow,” Shami added.

He also took to X, where he quoted MLA Umesh Kumar and posted, “Hahhaha thanks bhai love you bhai ye log alag duniya k loge hai ye log dusre ka success se jalte hai or apna ko chupane k liye ye harkate kar rahe hai bus ye to wahin hai just like a wow.”
