CWC 2023: WATCH- “DRS is being manipulated by BCCI”- Hasan Raza makes new allegations

India defeated South Africa by a massive 243 runs in recent CWC 2023 match in Kolkata.

Hasan Raza alleged India is manipulating DRS | XFormer Pakistani cricketer Hasan Raza, who had alleged that the ICC and BCCI were using different balls for Indian bowlers, has come up with new accusations, and this time he has chosen DRS as the point of contention.

Raza’s words came after India decimated South Africa by 243 runs in Kolkata in the recent ICC World Cup 2023 match on November 5. India had posted 326/5 in 50 overs with Virat Kohli scoring 101* and Shreyas Iyer making 77 runs after Rohit Sharma had won the toss and chose to bat first.

In reply, Proteas were skittled for 83 runs as Ravindra Jadeja picked 5/33 and India registered their 8th straight win in the tournament and confirmed their No. 1 spot in the CWC 2023 points table with 16 points and one game to go.

Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza made another controversial remark while reviewing the match and said that India is manipulating DRS in the World Cup 2023. Raza said that Jadeja dismissing the in-form Heinrich Klaasen was suspicious in terms of the DRS.

The ball was pitched on the middle and the leg held its line and hit Heinrich Klaasen on the pads as he tried to sweep. Indians appealed in unison, but the on-field umpire remained unmoved and Rohit Sharma asked for DRS.

CWC 2023: “It was a tough pitch, 260-270 looked par,” Jadeja lauds Kohli’s gritty century against South Africa in Kolkata

Replays showed that the ball crashed onto the top of the middle and leg stump. The on-field call was reversed as Heinrich Klaasen had went back to the pavilion

Jadeja picked up five wickets and finished with career-best figures. We were talking about technology where DRS was being taken. Van de Dussen (Klaasen) was the batter and the ball was hitting the middle stump after pitching on leg stump. How is that possible?

The impact was in line, but the ball was headed towards the leg stump. Like everyone else, I am just sharing my opinion. I am saying that such things should be checked. DRS is being manipulated and that is clearly visible,” Raza was quoted as saying on ABN.

Raza reminded viewers how Tabraiz Shamsi was given not out in a similar situation off the bowling of Haris Rauf when Pakistan and South Africa clashed in Chennai.

It was not the first time. The review in the match between Pakistan and South Africa and the last wicket partnership. They did not even apologize. Home conditions and home advantages come into play,” he added.

India will next play the Netherlands in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 12 in their final league match.
