Team India’s preparation for the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup seems to be on track. The Men in Blue won the Asia Cup 2023 last month and followed it with a 2-1 ODI series win over Australia.

India will open their World Cup campaign against five-time champions Australia at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday (October 8).

Ahead of the game, Rohit Sharma and his men have received best wishes from Thomas Muller, the star footballer of Bayern Munich.

Muller, who was part of Germany’s FIFA World Cup winning team in 2014, can be heard saying in a video: “Hey Rohit, wishing you and the team all the very best for the World Cup in India. Go get the 3 Ka Dream.”

Earlier, WWE superstar Drew McIntyre had extended his best wishes to the Indian cricketers as they embark on their quest for World Cup glory.

Notably, India’s record in the ICC events has been quite underwhelming in the last 10 years. However, many experts believe that the Rohit Sharma-led side has a great opportunity to end the global title drought in home conditions.
