Indian men's cricket team bagged the gold medal on its debut in Asian Games.

Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan | ScreengrabThe Indian men's cricket team bagged the gold medal on its Asian Games debut after the final match against Afghanistan was abandoned due to rain on Saturday (October 7).

The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side was declared winners on the basis of being the higher-ranked team in the competition.

In the summit clash, Afghanistan were 112/5 after 18.2 overs when incessant rain halted the proceedings at the Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in Hangzhou and the match never restarted from that point.

The Indian cricketers were over the moon after winning the gold medal, as evident from a video posted by leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi on Instagram.

In the clip, Bishnoi and the pace-bowling duo of Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan were seen passionately singing “Lehra Do” song from Bollywood movie 83 while flaunting their medals.

“Unfiltered Emotions,” Bishnoi wrote in the caption of the video.
