Asia Cup 2023: “Tv ke sath sath mobile bhi tod diye,” Irfan Pathan trolls Pakistani fans amid batting collapse against India

Pakistan suffered a humiliating 228-run defeat at the hands of India in the Asia Cup Super-4 clash.

Pakistan outplayed India in all facets of the game | GettyIndia and Pakistan faced each other in the Asia Cup 2023 Super-4 match at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

The game went into the reserve day after rain played spoilsport on Sunday (September 10), and the Rohit Sharma-led side dominated Pakistan in all facets of the game.

Invited to bat first, the Men in Blue racked up a mammoth 356/2 on the board on the back of stunning hundreds from Virat Kohli (122* off 94 balls) and KL Rahul (111* off 106 balls). Rohit Sharma (56) and Shubman Gill (58) also smashed dazzling half-centuries at the top.

In reply, Pakistan’s innings folded for a paltry 128 in just 32 overs as India won the game by a huge margin of 228 runs.

It was a listless batting performance from the Men in Green as no one managed to touch the 30-run mark. Fakhar Zaman top scored with 27.

Amid the collapse, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan trolled the Pakistani fans with a savage post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

“khamoshi chaai hui hai kaafi lagta hai padosiyo ne Tv ke sath sath mobile bhi tod diye hai…,” Pathan wrote.

With this thumping victory, India didn’t only boost their net run-rate but also climbed to the top of the Super-4 points table.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s net run-rate took quite a beating as they are now languishing at the third position.
