NZ v BAN 2022: WATCH – Ross Taylor bids adieu to Test cricket with a wicket in Kiwis’ huge win in 2nd Test

Taylor dismissed Bangladesh’s tail-ender Ebadot Hossain to seal the deal for the Kiwis.

Ross Taylor | GettyNew Zealand on Tuesday (January 11) completed an innings and 117-run victory over Bangladesh in the second Test at Christchurch to level the two-match series 1-1.

It was also the last Test match in veteran batter Ross Taylor’s illustrious career, who has already announced that he will bid adieu to international cricket after this home summer.

In his last Test outing, Taylor managed to score only 28 runs in New Zealand’s only innings but he made his farewell memorable with a wicket off his last delivery.

Taylor dismissed Bangladesh’s tail-ender Ebadot Hossain to seal the deal for the Kiwis. Ebadot blocked his first two deliveries and then went on to slog the third one, ending up skying the ball to mid-wicket fielder where stand-in skipper Tom Latham grabbed a stunning catch.

Ross Taylor represented New Zealand in 112 Tests, scoring 7683 runs at an average of 44.66 with 19 hundreds and 35 half-centuries. He also claimed three wickets in his Test career which began in 2007 against South Africa at Johannesburg.
