Coming to the match, New Zealand scored 34 runs and lost three wickets in the first session on Day 5 to finish on 135/5, still trailing India by 82 runs in the first innings. Skipper Kane Williamson (19 not out) and all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme (0*) are currently in the middle.

For India, Shami was the most successful bowler on Day 5 as he dismissed Ross Taylor (11) and BJ Watling (1).

With so many overs lost due to bad weather, the ICC will definitely use the allocated reserve sixth day tomorrow (June 23). India and New Zealand will be declared joint winners in case of a draw or a tie.
