BCCI on Thursday (June 17) named Team India’s playing XI for the inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand, slated to be held in Southampton from June 18-22.
Taking to Twitter, BCCI announced the team which features Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill as openers while the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane are slotted in the middle-order.
Rishabh Pant is the designated wicketkeeper in the line-up, which also includes both the spinning all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
Coming to the fast bowling attack, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami are there in the playing XI.
