WTC 2021 Final: WATCH – Pujara hits the ground running as Indian players allowed to train on Day 3 of quarantine

Players were allowed to run in the gymnasium and the main playing field at different time slots.

Cheteshwar Pujara | GettyIndian cricketers hit the ground running for the preparation of WTC final on the third day of their quarantine after arriving in the United Kingdom.

According to a PTI report, the players were allowed to run in the gymnasium and the main playing field at different time slots.

Taking to Instagram, veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara shared a story which suggests that the ECB have got the necessary permission from the health authorities to allow the visiting teams to train.

Pujara wrote "Let's Go" in his story as he was seen doing some light jogging.

The report further says that the Hilton hotel, where the Indian squad is isolating, is part of the Hampshire Bowl property and thus the players were allowed to come out of their rooms on the third day. Notably, the players are still not supposed to meet each other.

Cricketers will be reportedly allowed to resume their skills training a few days later at an adjacent practice ground. On Sunday (June 6), however, the room quarantine is expected to get over and players can do their gym sessions in small groups.
