Harmanpreet Kaur's bizarre run-out | XIndia skipper Harmanpreet Kaur was at the receiving end of a bizarre run-out on Day 1 of the solitary Test against England at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

Harmanpreet was on the verge of hitting her maiden Test half-century when she nudged a Charlie Dean delivery to short covers and took off for a run.

The Indian captain quickly realized that there wasn't any run and she ran back. It appeared like she was comfortably home but England players appealed for a run-out after Danielle Wyatt hit the stumps directly.

The replay confirmed that Harmanpreet was strolling towards the crease before her bat got stuck at the edge of the crease. She agonizingly fell one short of her first Test fifty.

Notably, Harmanpreet Kaur was dismissed in the exact manner during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup semi-final against Australia in Cape Town earlier this year. In that game, her bizarre run-out proved to be a game-changer as India suffered a heartbreaking five-run defeat at the hands of Australia.
