Searching for big runs, Indian batting stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were found honing their skills in the nets ahead of the team’s T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 clash against Bangladesh at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 22.
In a video posted by ICC’s official Instagram handle, Kohli and Rohit could be seen practising hard to counter the Bangladesh bowling challenge.
Both the openers looked in full flow during the training session as they played a wide range of strokes while facing the throwdown specialists.
Notably, Kohli and Rohit haven’t lived up to their high expectations in the competition so far. While Rohit slammed a half-century in one of the three games played in the group stage in New York, Kohli could only register three single-digit scores as he failed to adjust to the tricky conditions.
During India’s first Super 8 match against Afghanistan in Barbados, skipper Rohit Sharma scored 8 off 13 balls whereas Virat Kohli returned with run-a-ball 24.
