India’s vice-captain and star opener, KL Rahul, scored a much-needed fifty in the must-win Super 12 match of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against Bangladesh at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, on Wednesday (November 2).

Rahul was struggling earlier in the T20 World Cup 2022, but managed to find his mojo against Bangladesh, as the right-hander smashed his 22nd T20I fifty off 32 balls, as well as stitched an important 67-run stand with Virat Kohli (64*) to help Team India post 184/6 on the board in Adelaide.

After the end of the Indian innings against Bangladesh, Rahul opened up about his poor string of scores in the past three matches of the tournament.

The opener stressed that he "wasn't really worried" about his low scores in the T20 World Cup and was happy to contribute with the bat against the Tigers.

KL Rahul said during the inning break: “Been mixed feelings. I got some good knocks before coming to Australia. But the first three games haven't gone my way. You know when you are playing well and when you aren't.”

He signed off by saying, “I was doing a lot of things right, I was seeing the ball well. I wasn't really worried about missing out in the first three innings. But obviously, you are hungry, it's a big tournament, you want to do well for your country. You want to do well for your team. I was excited about it. I'm happy I got a good innings now.
