Team India faced the Netherlands at the SCG on Thursday (October 27), in their second Super-12 encounter of the T20 World Cup 2022.

The Indian team put on a terrific display and won by a large margin of 56 runs to take the lead in Group B with 4 points after 2 games.

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh praised the team's balanced effort and expressed his satisfaction with India's complete dominance in the ongoing marquee event.

"It was a well-rounded show from the Indian team and along the expected lines really. Sometimes the smaller teams need to be shown the mirror, how far they are actually from India in terms of cricketing level and that's what happened today," Harbhajan said in an AajTak show.

India got off to a good start after choosing to bat first, despite losing KL Rahul's wicket early. The man who relishes batting down under Virat Kohli achieved yet another half-century (62* off 44 balls), his second straight after Rohit Sharma played a dazzling knock (53 off 39 balls).

Suryakumar Yadav’s big-hitting prowess too was on display as he prospered the team total to 179/2 with his 51* off just 25 balls.

"We have had a complete package today. Suryakumar Yadav scored runs. Rohit Sharma scored runs with the bat and the captaincy was good as well. India bowled well, albeit against a weaker team. India played well and played at their general level and showed how strong teams dominate smaller teams," Harbhajan stated.

The former cricketer lauded Rohit's performance and inferred that it will only get better after the knock.

"Rohit Sharma spent a lot of overs in the crease today and I believe that he will do better from here on. Rohit Sharma was responsible for India’s outstanding cricket today," he concluded.

The Men in Blue will now face South Africa in Perth on Sunday (October 30).
