India and Pakistan are set to open their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
Ahead of the marquee clash, both teams are fine-tuning their preparations by playing warm-up games in Brisbane.
On Monday (October 17), the Men in Blue defeated Australia in the first warm-up fixture while the Men in Green suffered a six-wicket loss at the hands of England in a rain-hit second practice match.
Since both the games were held at the Gabba, the Indian and Pakistani players followed each other’s play keenly.
During the India versus Australia match, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was spotted at the Gabba stadium along with Shaheen Afridi. The camera also captured other Pakistani players inside the venue watching the action.
Likewise, Rohit Sharma and company didn’t go to the hotel directly and stayed back to watch Pakistan's game against England. The entire team was spotted in the stands.
India and Pakistan have one more warm-up match left before they face each other in the Super-12 round. While the inaugural T20 champions will take on New Zealand at the Gabba on October 19, Pakistan will lock horns with Afghanistan at the same venue on the same day.
